Those with climbing stands, do you leave the stand overnight?

Just curious how many of you go out and set your climbing stand up, then climb down out of it and lock it to the tree? I've done this before just to make it easier to get in position in the mornings. However, I'm curious if this might keep deer from traveling back through that area during the day if they traveled through at night while your stand was attached at the base of the tree. Even if the stand is scent free, do you think the sight of the stand would cause them alarm to the point they won't travel that area for awhile?

I leave mine for no other reason than it's a huge pain in the ass to setup and take down =)

i've still seen deer in my neck of the woods...now if i could just stop missing my damn shots, i'd have one

i leave all my stands year round and locked with no problems what-so-ever.....6 altogether....(3 ladders, 2 hangons, 1 climber)...the only one that i will carry back is my climber, that's about it.....i don't think it changes deer movement unless they smell you sitting in your stand....

My climber ALWAYS goes out of the woods with me.

I don't like taking chances of theft, bear damage, alerting deer to my presence, or the fact the wind may not be right for the next days hunt. It is a pain to unpack/pack every sit but I'm guaranteed my stand to use for the next hunt.
