Every announcer, every analysis, and all the Experts have just ignored them. They've had them going out the last 3 games. And THEN... when it gets near the end of the game and they're up 10... everyone finally admits... these short white boys can play basketball. Not one sports TV gave them a chance. Everyone had Baylor kicking their ass. How's that going now boys. LOL OH, and everyone was saying they shouldn't have been a number one seed. Maybe not... but they're the only ones left standing.

LOL. They have it pretty good from here out too. I wasn't overly impressed with WVU yesterday even as they knocked off my beloved team. They really don't seem that impressive, UK just couldn't hit a basket to save their lives as WVU had their best night of the year from behind the arc. Butler sure is a player though, that's for sure. I actually believe Duke can pull this one out this year....

I've been a doubter all year, and still am...but looking at the matchups left, the future looks bright for them for sure.

This Final Four as a whole has argueably been the biggest let down ever. Mich ST without its star, Butler, WVU, and Duke. Unique pool there, all the powerhouses have been knocked off and it's anyone's tourney from here on out.

Ahhh... Not so fast Grasshopper. This thing is still up for grabs. These big stadium courts throw these kids off their game. All 4 teams left have a very good chance of taking home the prize. Yes the tournament had some major upsets and "Probably"... the best team in the country is gone. Who it is .... doesn't matter. The past few games have gone from bad to fantastic. We'll just have to wait and see how all this maddness shakes out. In case you're all interested.... Ernie, The Big Easy, is poised to knotch another victory tomorrow. Now that is cool.

No one was talking about Duke this year, they looked good. Don't forget about those MSU boys;)

I have a feeling it's going to be Butler VS Duke. I think Duke is going to take it.

Man...there's some serious sour grapes going on, here.

I still don't get the "best teams are at home" bit....or the "all the powerhouses have been knocked off". I mean....how powerful are they to lose to a "lesser" team?

Wonder how the final rankings will reflect that? It IS...all about the numbers...ya know? And, final 4 is better than final 8.

My wife is a huge Duke fan. We have been down to Coach K's coaching clinics and all her brothers are Duke fans. They have slowly converted me to a Blue Devil fan as well, and you know what, what a consistent group of good men Duke graduates each year. Cheers to them.

I've been a Duke fan since elementary school. I started cheering for them because everyone hated them so bad, and now I've been a fan ever since. Great team and GREAT coach.

It seems like more people hate Duke than any other college basketball team and I have honestly never been able to figure out why? Jealousy is my best guess.

While I'm not a fan of Duke (J.J. Red*ick is probably my least favorite college player ever), I would say Ohio State and Kansas get more hate from me.

Of the teams left, I would like to see Butler take it. However, if they get past MSU, I don't think they will be able to knock off West Virginia or Duke.

Just to be the Duke hater, I thought I'd bring up what the NCAA has tried to sweep under the rug. That 1999 season still in the books by chance?;)

Jeff, it's okay we simply don't agree. I see and understand how upsets can happen thus sending home the truly better team. You disagree, just a difference of opinion. I'm sure George Mason was in the top four teams in the Nation in 2006 too huh? I mean Final Four IS better than UCONN and their early entry in the Elite 8. Let's not turn this off the subject though, this is a Duke thread.:D

A National Championship would be HUGE for Coach K at this point in his career simply because, as has been pointed out repeatedly, the past 5-6 years they have struggled mightily come tournament time. I think this is the first time in 5 or so years they've beaten anyone higher than a 3 seed?

I'm still not a big Duke fan but you've gotta love what Coach K does with his teams. With players like lance thomas and brian zoubek he is able to compete with and beat the all americans of the world simply because his players buy into his system.

I think the best 2 teams left are WVU-DUKE but I'd love, love, love to see Butler win it all. Da'Sean Butler's antics just turn me away from WVU similar to Cousins' with Kentucky and I just don't see MSU winning it all without Lucas. But, then again, my bracket hasn't been anywhere close right thus far :)

White Starters: 7'2 Center, 6'10 Wing and 6'5 PG....are we talking about the same duke team?

I'd rather pull my toenails out while sitting in an acid rain storm than see Duke win the National Championship.

    Oh come on, NY.....

I'd LOVE to watch the UNC crowd hoist that NIT banner up into the nose-dome!

Its been an interesting tournament, thats for sure. I take nothing away from the teams that have made it this far, but this is the least interested I've been in watching a final four...ever. Its fun to root for the underdogs, but do we really want them to win? Who is excited to see MSU play Butler this Saturday outside of fans of those schools? I know I would much rather see Kansas play Syracuse. We say we want the underdogs to pull off the big upset because its exciting. We just don't want to see them play the next game. ;)

I don't think you can come close to saying the best 4 teams are left. Thats the "beauty" of this tournament. You only have to better for one game. If they played the best of 7, we would see a much different final four.

With all that said, and looking at which teams are left, it would be something to see Butler pull this off. I would be suprised if the winner of the Duke/WVU game doesn't end up the national champion though.

    Trevor:

This is a tournament. Stop the sniveling. In the case of UK v WVU, the better team (at that moment in the tournament) OBVIOUSLY won. I mean......they're still playing, aren't they?

Do you REALLY care about how your team will be viewed in the post-season national rankings.......when they're bumped out of the tournament? This "We're still the best team" whining is REALLY lame.

Take it like a ......well...just accept it.

Give it up, you have no point and others have agreed with my point that the best 4 teams are not left, even if you don't include UK in that group.

Who is sniveling anyway? lol Hell I'm happy with the season UK had. We played terrible, lost, and went home. WVU deserved to move on the way they played vs the way we played. We didn't show up to win, thus got knocked off. I often wonder how much you would argue my points if I changed usernames... Sure, for that 3 hour game, WVU was the better team, great observation:rolleyes:. Overall, of course not. That's the beauty of the tourney, you don't HAVE to be the better team to advance. Hell look at what Mich ST has done in the last decade, they really only had one year as the dominant team (the year they earned the title)...the rest of IZZO's squads have been overachievers in a way....which is awesome!

Vito, I agree I'd like to see Butler take the cake at this point.

I know Baylor lost, but they will be SCARY good next year. Not losing a single player and bringing in the best center of the incoming freshman class. I see a top 5 team in them next year! Duke will be good again too it seems, Irving taking the reigns from Scheyer may even be an upgrade! Losing Zoubek does nothing to them. The Plumlees are/will be better.

Any takers on my last post though?:D
