With archery season just right around the corner here in southwest Wisconsin I decided to break my ankle which really sucks because I was just starting to dial in my bow and have been working on all of stands!!! Looks like I'll be missing the first couple weeks of bow season good luck to everyone else!

Do you have a ground blind and some good friends? If so you can still hunt. You can shoot sitting down.

Ground blinds are a great option.

The store bought ones are wonderful in the rain but a natural blind works really well too.

Well, why'd you go and do that if you knew it was coming up? lol

I second the blind option. It's always good to practice shooting sitting down, too.

Borrow one if you have too and get out there. Yes it will be a pain in the rear but you very well might miss an opportunity of a lifetime. You will never know unless you are out there in it. I hope you can pull it off. Good luck to you and keep us posted.

Don't feel too bad, I tore me distal bicep tendon July 17th (1 day before my 50th birthday), and will have surgery this Friday. So this season is already over for me. So get that ankle back up and running, and when your in your tree stand this season, just remember it could be worse :bigcry:.

You decided to break an ankle?! Maybe you should consider the consequences of decisions like that a little more carefully in the future.

Broke my wrist last year 2 weeks into season. Done for that year. It will make going into the field so much sweeter when you are able to!
