I don't think I ever said I support what obama is doing. I asked why there wasn't all this pissing and moaning when bush was doing the same thing to the country. That's my big problem with obama. He isn't doing anything much different than bush.

No they are not, because we do not know what would have happened if the stimulus was not done. We can take a guess, but to state those are accurate figures on what would have happen is funny.

Some annonymous blurb saying it "probably" helped avoid a depression is what you hung your hat on LOL

FACT is Obama said unenjoyment wouldn't rise above 8% with stimulus.

Made them lend the way they did.

I agree, he's a lot like Bush. Btw I worked on Synder's campaign staff here in MI, remind me what party he belongs too?

And he was wrong:). There was nothing going to stop the unemployment rate at that time until we bottom out. The damage was done, the fact half the stimulus was a payoff for his election was a joke.

Check for yourself. There's plenty of info on whether the stimulus was successful or not and they use more than just the jobless rate to decide it.

Of course he said that. He's a politician. If you expect politicians to start speaking the truth and stop saying things that sound good then you are gonna have a hard time going forward.

Politicians, liberal or conservative, say what they need to say to get (re) elected. Just look at what newt has said in the past week.

And the part that shows what would have happen without the plan?

I am not disputing the red dots numbers(with the plan). The other line(without the plan) nice try:)

Thanks for passing the time on a rainy weekend camp trip atlas. You too Bruce.

Lots hope for a Palin, Bachman ticket for 2012, if we keep getting screwed by our leaders. The visual of those two doing it to me is way more easier to take.

It doesn't matter what is said.........you could see 100 descriptions of how it's a complete failure and you would still focus on one little blurb saying it saved us from another great depression (something no one can ever prove).

If you want to believe that it was a good thing to spend a trillion dollars to get over 9% unemployment and $4/gallon gas.......tight credit at banks and almost no worthwhile investments then no amount of truth or logic will matter to you.

So you don't care that Obama is spending like a drunk sailor even compared to Bush..........and you don't care that he lied to you and all his other would be voters.

    Gotcha ;)

Wouldnt that depend on the author and their perspective?

Kinda like when bill mauer was all over bush for not reading papers like the wall street journal. I would think our president would have more information at their disposal than any "news" paper.

All authors have a perspective and many folks just read the authors that have their same perspective. The idea is to read a wide variety of information from varying sources. Read those with which you disagree but, use an open mind. There are also plenty of independant sources that don't align with one party or another.

If you like news reporting without a liberal or conservative slant, try the Mcneil-Lehrer news hour. The Nightly Business Report is good also.
