How about we just accept that many people do not like O'bama and his policies instead of bringing the race card into the equation? It is really that simple. Republicans generally dislike Democrat Presidents and vice versa. SO, many people dislike O'bama.

I said race is "part' of it.

Obviously many would not like Obama if he were white either for reasons you stated...i'm just saying his color just takes things to a whole other level for a number of people

A famous comedian once said "being republican does not mean you are racist....but if you are racist....you are probably a republican"

I was referring to the folks here. I never saw threads like these when bush was embarassing himself everyday. Where was thread about him "massaging" the German PM? Talk about embarassing yourself and your country.

When bush took office there was a budget surplus. When bush left office we were well on our way to where we are now. Apparently it is convenient to forget that bush provided over 700 bilion dollars in bailout money. There's not even any attempt to fake paying that back. What happened to that money? obama will need another 4 years to spend like bush and he might just achieve both.

Wouldn't surprise me if he wins again............he will get nearly 100% of black voters for some unknown reason as he has made their lives much worse since taking office but that stat will likely not change. I honestly don't think the Republicans want the white house.........next four years are gonna suck just as bad if not worse so why take all the heat of the spotlight when you can just sit back and keep Obama from destroying the country completely by owning the lower houses and then let Christie waltz in at 2016 and win by record landslide against weakest VP since Gore.

I honestly don't care either way...........Obama's efforts to destroy the upper middle class have helped me immensely as I am closing on a house wednesday worth twice what I am paying for it.

Obama has paved the way for me to live the rest of my life in a 3,500 sq ft new home with 20+ acres of land that hasn't been hunted in 12 years and a 1 acre stocked bass pond. Now all I have to do is hope they vote the coke head out before he's allowed to raise my tax rate to 62%.

I was in position to take advantage of his destruction................I feel for those who have been his victims.

Hmmmmmmmmm...........sounds a lot like what was said about TARP when Bush signed it ;)

Gary.........I hope you are not gullable enough to think those are actual decisions made by the president. NEITHER case was an option..........TARP or GM bailouts.

The key you are missing is that liberal policies are what lead to each of those collapses...........(subprime loans and union greed).

Bush took more abuse then ANY president of the modern era...............and sometimes rightfully so.

The liberal media in this country is really disgusting at times.

Got a link or another legitimate source. I'm in a salary management position for GM and this is news to me. We did announce this week that we would be hiring 150 by the end of the year. It sounded good to the media, but the real truth is we are just bringing back the ones that were layed off. I seriously doubt 60,000 jobs will be created by GM, Chrystler and Ford in the next 3 years. Do you know how many plants would have to be built to make that happen?

Serious question............how is Obama "black" but not "white"?? Because of his appearence?? Isn't that horribly offensive to his mother to just cast her heritage aside as if her family lineage means nothing (especially considering his father abandoned him??)

Just seems very convenient that someone who is genetically half black and half white and was raised in a privileged surrounding by his white mom and relatives magically is only referred to as black when his political party sees it as a chance to further their agenda.

Just another in a long list of insults to the US black population by the left.

Same old stupid insults from the self loathing left never change.

There are racists on both sides of the political spectrum, in all shapes, sizes, colors, and neighborhoods. Heck there are people on one side that think rich people got that way by a silver spoon and that their fortunes should be divided amongst the general population via an absurd tax rate. I am not sure what to call that type of hatred toward a fellow american that has busted their rear ends.

Then you will like the truth that the reason he spent so much was to clean up bush's mess. Not many other presidents were left a bag of **** like bush left whoever his successor was going to be.

Having actually worked for GM on the salary side, I can tell you it was not union greed. The union played their role and had a part in it.

I agree and he took over an economy that was pretty tanked. What was any president going to do?

Cut taxes and balloon the Deficit more? Either way we're in a mess.

Yep the guy spent a ton of money, I for sure don't agree with all they spent.

If he gets his way he'll end up burying the country in debt it will not recover from in my time. Germ, I sure hope you live long enough to see the error of your left wing ways. You're all worried about the union, the auto industry and not thinking what's best for this country at all. Next thing you'll be attacking gun ownership.

Yes Dave wanting GM around and Americans making a decent wage makes me left wing, lol.

Because I do not a tea bag approach and see errors on both sides, I am left wing.

Left wing politics are just as bad right wing. Newt said it best, it's to bad he backed down.

I honestly have no idea what that has anything to do with my question.
