I still have my '05 f150. It has 299k miles on it. It has had two rearends, two alternators, leaf springs, one transmission and a few coil packs replaced. Otherwise the thing just keeps running. At 15-16 mpg it's not the greatest but it got me where I needed to be for many years. The 5.4 engine made it a slow turd compared to other brands. My 2016 Ram 3500 6.4 dump truck can blow it out of the water in an acceleration contest. If I want acceleration, I hop into my 454 Chevelle which I'm currently getting ready for a trip to the drag strip.
Built in America, yes. Foreign companies figured out it was cheaper to assemble them here than do to it overseas and then ship them here. However let's look at the total numbers of US employees by auto manufacturer to get a true picture of where your money is going when you spend it. Ford - 201,000 GM - 180,000 Toyota - 136,000 (which are listed as 'direct and indirect' meaning they aren't all actual Toyota employees) Honda - 30,000
Gosh I hope you are right. My father in law is retired from Ford so I can get his discount. Maybe by then if there is any flaws they should start to show up. Being a GM guy all my life (1 problem plagued and no customer support Dodge that's why I hate them) I'm seeing many indications that their price tag will rise significantly for 2019.
Love my 11’ Tundra. It’s bullet proof. If I had to buy another half ton besides another tundra I’d go back to an F150. Never had too many issues with my fords. Never owned any half ton GM or Dodge products but my first truck was an 89 4.3 Liter v6 Chevy S10. That was a great truck Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I swore I would never own another GM product after the last two pieces of crap I bought from them. So far I have kept my promise over the last 13 years... another vote for them “ foreign” trucks.
I think it’s just luck of the draw. My 07 Silverado 2500hd w/6.0 gas had 334,000 miles on it when I sold it. I put a transmission in it was the second owner. The guy I sold it too bought it to pull a 34’ horse trailer. Poor truck, I’d say he’s pretty tired by now I reckon.
Also a Ford owner running the 3.5 ecoboost. It's been a great truck for me. Has noticeably more power than my old 2011 5.0 liter Ford. Tows the boat (about 5k pounds loaded) just fine, I don't even know it's back there. After the last couple years with this truck, I'll run it till the wheels fall off it, and I doubt I buy any gas motor truck that isn't an ecoboost again. The only way I'd change motors is to go diesel.
I love me a 2002 Silverado! She's got over 200,000 and still looks new. Runs as well now as it did the day I bought it.
Just saw Scent Lok partnered up with Ted Nugent. Half truths and gorilla dust combined with a poaching pedofile.
If I was given one shot to guess who on this forum would have a turbo charged truck, it would have been you lol.
They must be losing market shares in scent-control clothing and feeling desperate, to partner with that clown.
(Yes, that was sarcasm.) Fixed it for you; almost missed the important point you made because it was so small.
Oh No. I suggested a Ford / Chevy war and after viewing comments , thought I opened the proverbial can of worms......what have you just started ?? LOL
