PT, I love your posts but do you expect us to believe that just because you didn't quote Jeff you were not referring to his posts initially? I mean come on, really?

My oh my, all this over a little girl. Daddy always said if you can't say something important or good, don't say nothing at all. Unless porvoked of course.
He had a way of making you understand, Like slapping your scalp down around your eyebrows when you missed the message. Looks like some of you did'nt have a good training aid growing up. (Insert smiling face here).

Mr. Call it like it is, if I posted your first comment in one of your kill threads and used "A Lot" intstead of big, how would you have taken it?

Bry I still cannot believe you posted that:confused:

Wow, it looks like my initial post has started quite a stir. LOL

Thanks for calling me out Bruce. Next time try quoting EVERYTHING I post before doing so.

After re-reading my ENTIRE post I can see how it can be taken as having a condescending tone, but that was not my intent. I was trying to say that it's obvious that she has a good location, but also obvious (from reading the article about the girl) that she is not your average girl playing with dolls. I meant to put a sarcastic/humorous tone to it, and as happens many times in cyber-space with sarcasm failed miserably even with my sarcasm emoticon.

Anyway, I've got no ill will or hard feelings toward the girl and I truly do congratulate her on her success. I will openly admit that I am jealous of the opportunities afforded her, but I also see that she works hard and is committed to deer hunting and admire that.

As I said in my initial post:

SERIOUSLY, GOOD FOR HER. CONGRATS. (Did you see it that time Bruce?);)

Alright, I'm letting the secret out. That is Germ's illegitimate daughter. I just couldn't keep the secret any longer, Germ! I think that was obvious from your responses in this thread.

Disclaimer: there is no truth to that statement in case Gary's wife reads this post.

GMMAT, I'm going to make a wild guess here. I'm guessing that this discussion stems from some of your previous posts on this forum. If no one knew your opinions from previous posts, then your first post in this thread might have been ignored. There is no doubt you enjoy a good "debate", and it also appears people enjoy debating with you. I believe whether or not this is someone's daughter or friend here is irrelevant and I'm not sure why you are bringing it up. I thought the discussion here had to do with making assumptions and diminishing another hunter's kill.

90% of his comments are right on, his first one he was just being a smart arse, I pointed it out and now he typing in all caps at me:p

He saw a little kid with a big buck and made an assumption, others did also, but now it's a gun kill on a bowhunting thread.
Which is why I posted it as a link, I thought that was allowed.

I guess Germ wanted to share what he thought was a good story of a young girl taking some nice bucks. That is just an assumption though. ;)

It's not uncommon for non bowhunting threads in this forum. At least it was deer hunting I guess. I do understand your point of it being a gun kill in a bowhunting forum. Kind of like posting about bait fishing in a fly fishing forum. I'm just not sure that argument addresses what the real issue seems to be in this thread.

Sure, I saw that the first time too. Kind of like saying "Hey, someone's breath stinks but they do have a nice smile" :D . I don't have a problem with what you or GMMAT posted. I just thought it was interesting that he could make a comment similar to yours (of course he congratulated her too but apparently you and everyone else missed that ;) ) and everyone wants to jump on him. Yet they want to applaud you. Interesting.

Making assumptions about one's hunting and trying to diminish their kill is all too common in the bowhunting world. The second I saw Germ post this I knew someone would assume all she did was show up and pull a trigger. And yes, the fact that it involves a youngster makes it more of an issue...to me. Whether or not she reads it I think is irrelevant. Its the mentality I don't care for.

For the record, I quoted 2 other members on this thread and never addressed GMMAT. He's just the one that keeps responding. :)
