I went looking for some good beer to drink up on out land for this upcoming Memorial Day weekend. I saw this and decided to try it.

Oh baby is it good. I mean like really really really good. Can't beat the theme either. ;) The rest of you that live in the other 49 states don't know what you are missing.

This Wisconsininite is brand new from what I hear.

Fat Tire? Decent beer but that is *** water compared to New Glauras Brewing products.

Here is their reason for not going outside of Wisconsin which they have been asked to.

Gonna have to disagree on this. If you wish to be a beer snob, Montana is that state to be in. There is 5 micro-breweries within 25 miles of me...

Sounds like you wisconsin folks are either a bunch of serious drunks or to lazy to make more beer than the locals can consume.

Another beer I have been drinking lately. They make enough for more than their whole country. Must be hard workers.

Grand Rapids was voted Beer City USA. I think we'll be alright.

By who? The Grand Rapids Inquire?

The best beer cities would probably be Denver or Portland.

By the National Beer Examiner. Portland was 5th, Denver was 9th.

    Don't hate.

Your using the incorrect units. This was by "state" not by "city". ;-).

Colorado has a lot of very good breweries.

You mean by the town of Grand Rapids that ran a campaign to get the citizens to vote the town as "Beer City USA", right?

    I'm hating.

Hate all you want, but MI has a number of exceptional breweries. Look up beer rankings on any of the top sites and you'll see a number of beers from Founder's and Bell's, and probably a beer or two from a few other MI breweries.

I'm not saying good beer isn't produced anywhere else. That would be absurd. If you come to MI though, you will find good beer.

I know Michigan has good beer, as well as Wisconsin.

I live in a horrible beer area. The craft beer movement has yet to hit my area, which is so incredibly depressing for me. I'm only hating because I'm mildly jealous.

Understandable. If it helps, Founder's is within walking distance of my house.

I could do a beer trade.

If you send me the Fat Squirrel (Nut Brown Ale), the IPA, or any of their specialty, maybe limited edition beers, I'll return the favor from a brewery down here. We don't have any local breweries, but there are some in south LA, and plenty in Texas that I can get a hold of.
