I could work if I wanted to, but I make more now than I did when I was working and got hurt (non-disabling injury). She said the gov't sends her $1500.00 a month in 1 check. And she gets $700.00 a month on an EBT card (food stamps), and $800.00 a month for rent. Oh yeah, and 250 minutes free on her phone. That is just south of $3500.00 a month. When she was working, she was taking home about $330.00 per week. Do the math and then ask yourself why the hell should she go back to work. If you multiply that by millions of people, you start to realize the scope of the problem we face as a country. Once the socialists have 51% of the population in that same scenario, we are finished. The question is when do we cross that threshold if we haven't already, and there are not enough people working to pay enough taxes to support the non-working people? Riots?? Really? What part are conservative making up? I have relatives doing this right now with no intentions to ever get of welfare. One of them is 30 years old and lives on the ocean with his girlfriend and just surfs and fishes all day everyday. He thinks he's cool and the government are just fools. Or am i making this up?
Afflicated - I just did some skimming by Googling Fla and food stamps and found this: The average food stamp payout is $ 24 dollars per person per month. That would mean this woman has 29 kids. I also read for healthy people they can only draw 3 months’ worth of food stamps during a 3 year period. I believe 99 percent of these welfare horror stories are BS.

It would not change a damn thing. Nope. Plenty of people are abusing the system. Always have, always will. This will never change. The sooner you realize this, the sooner you will be able to relax in life.
Move to Birmingham my man if you believe for one second scenarios like that above aren't true... (Numbers may be slightly stretched but not too far off). I have a family member who got close to a $9k tax refund when they were on unemployment that year not working... A convicted felon drug addict at that. I have people use food stamps in front of me for I kid you not $100 of jack links jerky and Mtn dew...it was like 15 bags of it or something ridiculous. Wait til you see Medicaid systems and how far they are stretched. Alabama Medicaid now requires name brand dispensing for Adderall because the much cheaper generic that all other providers require isn't covered. People come in w a script for a steroid, antibiotic, and hydrocodone....ill just fill the pain med for now, just keep the other two on file (free of charge Meds of course).... Access to our programs are WAY too easy to be accessed and manipulated. It should be damn near impossible to get government checks, not the complete opposite.
Like I've said before, if you want to go after people abusing the system, go after corporations. Individuals abusing the system are nothing compared to the abuse by large corporations with government contracts. People always seem to ignore this. They would just rather ***** about the classic story of seeing the black lady buying filet and lobster with her food stamps and then drive off in an Escalade.
So is that what you need to tell your children and grandchildren when tell ask you what thehell you were thinking back then. See what's happening with Greece. Spain. Italy and you still voted for Obama. Thanks
