WOW.. I see some of this got out of hand.

It's healthy for people to talk politics.. it keeps governments in check and should be discussed as regularly as Baseball and Apple pie...

It's good to see some of us have healthy appetites when discussing our differences.. others maybe not so much?

What is amazing is that you keep throwing that word Capitalism out there like its some kind of candy for the ignorant to chew on, here are a few other words to go along with Capitalisum,
    Stalinism, Fasisum, and Communistic Conservatism.
You would be supprised about how many what you call low to middle class fish with me, and they are the big tippers.
Republicans are extremely conservative tippers when it comes to their money.

The bold is bolded with these words in mind.

Give me a break. The generalization is Republicans are poor tippers.. c'mon.. we're all smarter than that.. let's not revert to you do this and I do that.

It's called a looking glass and we all can play that game.

    What?

I'm going to assume that you meant "Fascism" and if my assumption is correct, then you obviously have no idea what fascism is.

These 2 words DO NOT belong together. There is no such thing as "Communistic Conservatism".

    *sigh

GMMAT I love your arrogance, "30 second search" BAM:d , but amazon.com, REALLLYYYYY?

I even gave it a chance and read through it, but facts like "Conservatives also donate more time and give more blood" are just thrown out there. Where did this um "statistic" come from? How do they know? Who did they poll?

Or this, "Although liberal families' incomes average 6 percent higher than those of conservative families, conservative-headed households give, on average, 30 percent more to charity than the average liberal-headed household." Were they polling equal income families? Families with two parents, equal number of kids, living in similar socioeconomic settings, etc?

I did a "30 second search" prior to my original "Show Me" post and there are numerous sites like this with random stats thrown out there for the faint of mind to follow blindly. I guess I was just looking for something a little bit deeper with a little better statistical backing.

    Lol. Wow. ;)

But in all seriousness you have my apologies as I did simply ask for a site and not a credible site. I was looking for fact and, having read your other responses, I thought you would be able to point me in the direction of a respectable site or study. If you can show it to me I have no problem accepting what is fact, but until then you'll have to excuse my skepticism.

Sheesh man, I never said I didn't believe you, I just asked for a little factual clarification that you have yet to provide. Right now its my ignorant mind (I don't know one way or another) waiting to be convinced by your knowledgeable self.

If Fox News doesn't count for being conservative, then no other media outlet in existence counts for being too liberal.

I guess all news is now worthless...(like that is news?)

It always gets into a measuring match between libs and conservatives, a good distraction to keep the focus OFF of the flawed system of thinking possessed by the liberal leaders of America today. ;) :d

No matter how you look at it, no president is going to be able to satisfy every single person in America. Why? Because we as humans, are selfish. We want what we want, when we want it. That being said, I could think of worse candidates than Obama... but it would take me a while. Taking a mile for every inch given is the liberal ideal. Conservatives AREN'T responsible for interpretations of laws, bylaws, and namely... the constitution.

I don't support gay marriages, I don't support abortion, I don't support socialism, I don't support the government as a business, I don't support unlimited free health care. I don't understand why welfare recipients have cable television with the HBO package. There's a lot of stuff that I don't know and that I don't support. I can't support a president with a lack of ethics or morals. I don't support paying social security to illegal immigrants that have never paid a nickel into the program. I have a problem with my property taxes being maxed out to fund the shools that I don't have any kids in and are crammed with students who's parents are illegal. I have a problem with uneducated voters voting for color, background or any other demographic issue. I have a problem with blaming/praising presidents (regardless of party) for the state of the economy when congress has the upper hand. Let's not forget that the economy had no issues through 2006 when the democratic congress was instated. Let's not forget that while the media displayed GW's approval rating at 32%, the 17% approval rating of congress was never shown.

What I do support is helping people in need, not helping people that don't want to help themselves. I don't mind paying taxes to support someone with a disability or a veteran that served my country, I don't have a problem supporting someone that has been laid off and doesn't have work. I have a problem with someone that abuses the system, I have a problem with someone that expects me to do something for them with no intentions of EVER doing anything for someone else. I give time and money to several charitable organizations, how many times have I ever seen ANY of the beneficiaries of MY time and money doing community service, or doing anything to help someone else? Not one. If they don't have a job, the least they could do is give some of their town.

Regardless of all things said... every word PT spoke is true. It's coming

Take a look at this map and then tell me that Obama was the "people's choice"...

Hell thats easy to explain Dubbya, no one lives in them red states and they get their news tied to a pigeons leg! Heck, most of them still think they won the election. All kidding aside, Look at Northern Michigan, see all that red. Now almost every one of them voters are on some type of welfare, From loss of a union job, so with republicans being anti union and anti social programs, you explain to me the insanity of your map because I dont get it.

I hope some of you read back through this and see how petty and dumb you are being...

Raceway... You are busting on a guy for incorrect spelling, while your posts were full of improperly used words... Then and than, then and them etc etc... Pot calling the kettle black there. Guess the schools there in IL aren't any better than ones up in MI?

Chill out fellas, giving your "brothers" grief over political differences is pointless. It will get you no where.
