Decided to move the my trail camera to my wife's food plot because I saw some nice tracks and look who showed up. Same spot as last year but I could never get a shot on him because he only came out at night. Might try a mock scrape or something this year. Hope my wife will have him on the wall soon. Maybe when the rut comes in full swing he might get a little careless.

    I know the date is wrong but the times are right. HUNT0062.jpg HUNT0064.jpg HUNT0065.jpg HUNT0070.jpg HUNT0072.jpg HUNT0114.jpg

Your camera appears to have the date set wrong.

Yes, I am aware of that.. I think I even mentioned it in the post. :) Its only 120 yards from the house. Might change it when I go put more corn out, wouldn't want the deer to show up on the wrong date ;)

Yeah, we own only 23 acres. Mostly oaks so the acorns draw them in. I suspect he beds down across the road in planted pines that is really thick with underbrush. Plus these pines are about 12 feet high. Perfect bedding cover.

I think I might try a mock scrape and using some doe urine with some grunting. Last year I just sat in the stand with high hopes.. lol

Good luck, this weird weather we are having had some nice ones crusing and grunting around 530 the last few days about 100 yards from my hunting partners stand. We have been reigning them in and hope to get in close before pre rut kicks in. Hunting on base cameras get stolen so only a few out and well hidden.

He showed up again the night before last also. Didn't last night though but is was raining pretty hard most of the night. Might be a good afternoon to go. Good luck with yours, and it sucks people have to steal.
