I noticed a little rattle as I notching my arrow. This arrow passed the flex test. I've heard of CF arrows doing some pretty bad stuff when you let a damaged one fly.

Hard to see, but good catch if it's a break. I definitely wouldn't take any chances with an iffy arrow.

Yep, I just found one the other day that made a weird noise when I shot it. I flexed it and seemed ok, so I assumed it was just a loose tip. Shot it again, and same buzzing noise...and flew way off course. That one's not going back in the quiver!

Glad you caught that....the photo could have been of something so much worse. Always check "flex & visual".

Im glad you caught also...that could have been dangerous...I check my arrows and bolts before shooting always..and check my bows also....safety checks are a must.

I bend my arrows by hand ever so often and listen for sound. Just had one the other day that broke when I bent it. Glad it broke there instead of when being shot.

It didn't make any type of noise when I bent/twisted it, just rattled like a loose tip and when I went to tighten it it kept turning like it wasn't getting tight.
