Our season ends at the end of January. I've never had a chance to kill a buck in velvet so the chance to do that would make enduring the heat somewhat worth it. I went out in shorts and and a t-shirt and shot about 20 arrows earlier today and was sweating profusely, I don't own hunting clothes light enough for this heat.
My buddy pulled some cards on our cameras up WI this weekend. We have a pretty big six point that keeps showing up at one of the watering holes. If he walks by on opening day I think I will let one fly.
Does anyone plan on filming their hunts this year? Also is anyone going to use this signature, because I don't want to be the only guy using it! Lol.
Cunninghamww, I sent you a PM so if you have already seen it please disregard. Per your signature, are you still looking for hunters to join your IL lease?
Blue moon, I'm pulling for you man! Cunning, what set up are you using? Chris and anyone who wants the signature, here you go. Instructions: Go to settings, then click "edit signature", copy and past this string below, then "save signature".
Sony HDR AX2000 for primary. I've got a decent canon dslr but don't have the lenses to really do what I need with filming. Usually have a gopro running too.
Awesome man, I am torn between a T3i or the AX2000. I understand DSLR filming is much harder with the focus and such, but I just love the quality of the video. I'm running a gopro hero 3 black for now for a POV until I decide.
I've got the t4i. Like you said, it is much more versatile, but the AX2000 is so much easier to use and still produces great video. It might be a bit big though if you are just thinking about self filming.
I'm probably going to buy them both. Being I'm new to it all, I should be getting the AX2000 first to learn on as you stated.
Well, finally tracked down my #1 buck from last year. He was playing hard to get all summer but he finally walked in front of my camera. Meet "Delta," a 6-8 yr old clean 6x6!
