Went to do a little crappie fishing in a work buddies 14 acre farm pond. Crappie weren't biting but the bass sure were. Caught over 100 and kept around 40. We plan to take out about 400-500 bass this year. We'll have stringers like this of 14-15 inch Crappie as soon as they come into the shallow water where these guys were.

Nice! I've been doing some work for a farmer that has a really nice pond that he manages pretty well. I'm hoping to get the chance to do some fishing on it this summer and reel in some slobs.

Your killing me. I just finished my boat project, and we still have 20+ inches of ice on the water up here.

Damn that is a lot of bass in a 14 acre pond! Good idea to take some out. Thinning the bass, along with the crappie, should definitely increase the size of the bass.
