Hey guys, I get a few more weeks off next year and I am thinking of trying to do a DIY bow hunt somewhere. I would probably do it during the Wisconsin Gun season in late November and I was thinking of a state like Nebraska. They have over the counter archery tags for a reasonable price and I think they are good for mulies as well. The north central part of the state near the Valentine NWR and Samual McKelvie NWR is what I was thinking. I would like the opportunity at both mulies and whitetails if possible. I know there may be areas with more of a deer population but this trip would be more about bow hunting a new part of the country and a bonus would be getting a deer. I would probably be camping if possible to keep costs down. If anyone has any experience with this area any advice or tips would be awesome. I am not sure if late november would be any good and if another time is better let me know. Thanks
