For the past few weeks I've been wanting to upgrade my bow from my old 2000 martin rage xrg. I've had my eye on the mission blaze. I decided on that bow because that is about as much as I can afford to spend. I went down to the archery shop today to test it out. And I was amazed. It shot awesome. I fell in love with it instantly. I was just curious if anybody had any suggestions on other bows I should check out in that price range before I just jump on that one. Any feedback would be appreciated! image.jpg

You can also consider a used bow, something a couple years old will be a big upgrade from you Martin and it will put you in the price range of what your looking for. Lots on bows being taken in on trade right now as guys get the new model year....also look at the classified on here and on AT?

Yeah I was looking at used ones too. One reason I want to buy new is because of the warranty

Mission ballistic is nice and cheaper. Hoyt rampage, pse makes good budget bows.

Mission makes a good bow and the good thing about buying it over a used bow is you get a warranty with it

The hoyt charger, bowtech carbon knight, bear and pse have some offerings as well in that category. Diamond does as well.
I like shooting Mathews the most so I say good choice. However, you should do you due dilligence and shoot all you can.
When I bought a new bow, I loved the z7 xtreme. I still shot every bow I could touch, but still came back to the z7x. Since I've purchased a newer bow and still ended up trading it in for the z7x. My point: the bow will pick you. Shoot them all you can afford and there will be one you just never want to put down.

Thanks for all the input. I plan on shooting a couple other bows. I think that blaze is going to be hard to beat for me though, in my price range anyways.

The pse stinger 3G is a pretty sick bow for the money. It's what ima shooting now split an arrow on first day and one since in the last year.

I am definitely upgrading too. I'm gonna go for the Carbon Overdrive, instead of the RPM 360. Just because I don't like really heavy bows.

I just got a few xpedition archery bows in the shop today. And they are worth checking out. The bow impressed me with overall quality and design. Worth testing one out
