Think this rope would be good for a safety line in my treestand

    That's 550 cord (means it has tensile strength of 550 lbs), too thin and if you try to grab it if you fall it will do some serious damage to your hands because it is thin. You can get the HSS safety rope that is not as long as the lifeline for like $25. Do not use that para-cord as a safety line! Plus that cord stretches when weight is applied to it.

    you need kermantle rope. That's what HSS uses for theres.
