I have been getting quiet a few pics of this little guy, and was wondering if you guys think those abnormal bumps on the front of his bases will stick around? He has matching 2" points that protrude straight out from the base of his rack at the beams. If it was junk, it just seems odd to me that it would match perfectly. I have hundreds of photos of him at all angles, but here are the only few I have on photobucket. If they stick around, they would make for some REALLY cool character here in about 2 years. Heck of a nice 1.5 IMO (but I'll be the first to say that seeing a buck at 1.5 tells you nothing about later on) What do you make of these points on the buck dubbed "Bumper"
I'm sure they probably will. Bucks seem to keep some of the same character from year to year. Check this one out.
Neat buck, I sure hope they do. If they stick around, and he does as well, they could very well turn into double main beams (based off of how they are growing out of the bases). that would be flippin neat!
You can actually see that they grew a little bit in the 7 days between pics. They look like legit points to me. I would think that they would stay.
Hmmm, if you do get pic's or sightings of this buck next year I'd like to know whether or not he kept the tines as well. I've got a buck a lot like that. My buddy saw him late last week and said that he has a point (about 1.5 inches) coming off each one of his bases. Here he is in mid-Augest...... I'm defiantly interested to see whether both these bucks (yours and mine) keep these traits
