I'm visiting Washington and have access to 2 archery shops. I had a couple questions about some gear I might want to get. ( I don't have a shop where I live.)

Release- I have one full hand/wrist release but it's really hard to do anything but shoot while wearing it. I can't knock an arrow very fast or quiet with it. Any suggestions on a new release. Must be silent, work well with a d loop, and have an adjustable length.

Sling??- I think this is the name. It's the strap that looks mounted on the grip and wraps your wrist. Still not sure what exactly this is doing for you. Something about balancing the bow maybe. Is this something I'm gonna really want or is it just a nice extra?

Keep in mind I don't hunt from a tree stand and I'm constantly on the go. Any other suggestions while I have access to a shop would be great.

Anything else you guys can think of that I might be over looking while I have access to a shop would be a good help too.

As far as a release I would go with a Scott release. I made the switch from a tru fire last year and
    unbelievable. (Thanks gmmat)
As for the sling all it does is keep the bow from falling as you should keep your hand totally relaxed
and dont grip the bow. I personally got rid of mine 2 years ago as I had to keep adjusting it if I wore gloves or not and I am doing great without it.
Compare prices and see if you can save some money here especially with the monthly discounts at the top of the forums.
I have a post about the G5 Tekans and found that they are the cheapest prices here at bowhunting.com compared to the BP, Cabelas and
    Gander prices.
    Good luck in 2009.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna go for the Scott. Thanks Brandon for the link as well. No shops on my island, but it's nice to know they're on other islands.
