When I made it to my food plot, I was suprised to see what the deer were digging through the snow to get. I figured they would be hard after the turnips. Last year they destroyed them before Thanksgiving, this year I still have tons left. My corn has all been gone for over a month. So when I saw them digging through the snow to get after what little clover there is I was a little surprised.

They are hitting the wheat and oats some too, but clover is definately the food of choice.

Oh, and Justin, I checked all over the food plots and no sheds there either.

Just for referance, my 5 acre food plot is the 3 legged field in the lower right. The long skinny green field is where I have planted my Native Warm Season Grasses for future bedding cover.

I hunt over a clover/winter wheat field and it seems to do the trick as well I don't think it gets much better than that.

You can have all my stands from last season, all I killed was a doe!:)

And if you can make it in there and out alive, you're welcome to it.;) I have eyes in the woods!
