Well, I decided to hit up the fields and watch for some turkey this afternoon. After not seeing anything I checked around and there was no sign at all. No turkey tracks, no scratchings, nothing. I tried some crow calls and didn't get any response. I was pretty bummed but when I glassed out across the road to the other side of the farm I saw a few gobblers strutting in the field where I arrowed my gobbler last year  I figured that they had all picked up and moved across the road. I checked my camera and it only had 10 pictures so I pulled the card and ....

Looks like I missed the gobbler by about an hour. The field that the other birds were strutting in is in the background (to the right of the house).

Now I have a dilema... where do I go Saturday morning. It seems as though there aren't many (if any) hens where I camera is, but I am pretty sure the bigger Toms are across the road with hens.

Geez man, you are into them. My money is on you putting a bird down on Saturday. I FINALLY spotted three hens working the corn field on the property this evening! I'm at least a little pumped now for saturday. Should be a warm one.

Man, those are some inspiring pics! Half the toms are dead already here in jersey. The warm weather should get them breeding finally. Maybe i'll catch one cruising on saturday.

    NICE!
I am so pumped to get out. I got 3 days straight of turkey hunting between OH & PA.

My only problem is I'm going in semi-blind. I know there are birds in the areas I am going, and roughly know thier roost areas, but nothing pinned down like your photos.

    Thanks guys!

Matt, I am suprised to have seen so many birds in my hunting area this year, normally there are a few, but I have seen a ton this season! I really hope to pull everything together on Saturday. I will have my fiance and my grandfather out so I wouldn't put money on me getting my bird. I am really pulling for both of them! The weather is going to be nice though, its supposed to be a high of 85 degrees here and sunny! Perfect day to hit the woods in the morning and the streams in the afternoon!

Ryan, goodluck, I got faith in ya. As long as you have an idea of what they are doing you can get a gameplan going.

Nice pics Buck Magnet. Good luck to everyone hunting this weekend. I'm gonna try and put another bird down in Ohio in the morning, then drive to the farm in Indiana and try to call one in for my little brother.

That camera takes very nice quality pics.

No birds yesterday. Got set-up at around 5 a.m. and waited. He gobbled from the roost about 85 yards away. Around 6:30 a.m. a hen entered the field about 50 yards from the blind at the same time two deer ran across the field and spooked the turkey. About 15 minutes later the gobbler and 4 hens entered the field about 200 yards away. Some aggressive purrs and cutts and two hens broke off, I have no idea where the one went but the other came right into my decoys and was as close as 10 feet. The gobbler stayed at the opposite end of the field and strutted until around 7:45 a.m. when he headed back into the woods. Sat in the blind till around 10:00 a.m. before we packed it in and went fishing.

I will be back after him Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I am gonna set-up a little further out the field and hope for the best.
