I wonder how those conversations go with the refs before the game. You know... the fixed game ones. " Hey Joe we are supposed to hand the game to Dallas the league wants them to win" "Ok Fred sounds like a plan. What if Calvin Johnson just starts catching everything thrown to him" "Well Joe just start chucking flags for something" "Ok FredI will be ready to make sure they don't score too much" " Glad I can count on you Joe. But make sure you do it at a crucial time in the game, not just randomly" "Yes Fred I've been down this road before" "And Joe, make sure to throw a couple flags or no calls early on against Dallas at non crucial times so it doesn't look obvious that we are fixing the game" " Great idea Fred, we got this, let's go do this" Do they huddle in a room before taking the field? Conference call with Roger? Interesting stuff.
Crazy how? The article states teams often send plays to the league for officiating review but don't normally leak it the media.
And do they plays get overturned 5 days later? No You could pick apart any single game and pick out stuff refs missed.
They didn't overturn the plays. The game is over. The league just admitted to some incorrect calls which i'm sure is not out of the ordinary and happens every week.
