I typed something but figured it was a waste of time. Like I said in the original post...not the delusional fans. If this was against Dallas or your Yankee's it would be a different tune.
If that play happens in the 1st quarter or not against the Cowboys it's not a story. Plain and simple. Can watch the tape and find another 10 calls or lack of on both sides. And it has nothing to do with "my" Cowboys or Yankees. If it was a blatant game deciding play I would be the first to admit the Lions got hosed. I call it like I see it.
Good..... use it. I don't know if I'll sleep tonight. Better than trying to come with an answer that's not there.
Go play in traffic Sota. I don't think anyone really likes you around here anyway. Youre kind of annoying. I was talking comical as far as the media attention.
It seems foolish that you demand answers from other posters like we are supposed to look it up to appease you, that's my point.
You do realize the the NFL commissioner did not lift the suspension correct? The players have the right to appeal any punishment levy'd by the league. An independent arbitrator ruled in favor of Suh because according to league rules if a player has not been suspended/fined in the previous 32 contests, they are not to be considered a repeat offender. This just happened to be his 33rd game since his last major altercation. Soooo, the NFL had no say in whether or not Suh played since they are under a binding contract with the players association and Suh used the tools available to him to overrule the NFL.
I understand that skywalker. All I'm saying is if this was some big conspiracy the suspension somehow (if we are saying the Cowboys have the NFL/refs/arbitrators/easter bunny in their pocket) would have stood. Wasn't really a big deal to me to be honest. I thought they'd win with or without him playing.
I'm not asking to look anything up or appease me. I watched the game and saw what did and didn't happen. I just find it convenient and ammusing that there is no answer to the question. Nobody seems to want to acknowledge the fact that there were calls both ways. Or that the one call with EIGHT MINUTES AND 30 SECONDS left was the deciding factor in the game? Nothing to do with kicking their cans all over the field from the 1st quarter on? Selective bad calls talked about to make others point. Fine by me, one team is playing this weekend and the other isn't.
I think the reason people see this differently than any other bad or missed call is the fact that the flag was thrown, the penalty was announced and the yardage was marked off, then they just picked up the flag and called it 4th down. There was obvious contact before the ball was thrown and while it was in the air. If it wasn't pass interference, then it was defensive holding. I think every single former official they have asked that was willing to talk about it has said there should have been a penalty. That's just my take on it. Also, I could see a scenario where the officials could have been persuaded by the league to not give Detroit any breaks. Goodell doesn't like it when his rulings are over turned, so I could see him being kinda vindictive and using his authority to persuade the officials. Not saying that happened, but I could see how it could.
Of course there were calls both ways...they weren't going to make the fix that obvious and there is no need to. All that's needed is to wait until a pivotal moment and make one or two gross calls in favor of the team that's supposed to win.
