Are you saying your not getting day time pics of bucks or none at all? If its just of bucks it probably just the way it is right now. They're probably not moving during day but will probably change when gets closer to rut.

I have Moultrie cams as well; they have automatic day/night settings - even my cheapo models. They are pretty much set and forget. Once you set the time/date, all you have to do is set video or still shot, set the shutter delay (1/5/10/30) (which also doubles as the # of seconds it will record if on video) put it on "auto", strap it to the tree and you're good to go. If you're worried because you're not seeing the flash- don't be. You won't see it.

Unless you tested the cam yourself by walking out in front of it and doing some jumping jacks and it didn't capture your pic, I'd say you're fine- I hunted all weekend not too far south of you and only saw 4 deer; all of them right at the shooting hour limits. Our cams have dozens of shots, most of them bucks, and looks like they are almost entirely nocturnal for the past month. We only hunt the property about every 2 weeks, so pressure is light. It's just that time of year. Should pick up in the next couple of weeks.

did you test that first camera on yourself before you replaced it?
Not being a smartazz, just trying to help you out. Honestly if I hadn't tested mine I would have the same worries; like I said all my pics are night shots (except for me putting my scrape down and a couple of randoms with no visible animals that must be birds or branches in the wind.)
