Yeah they rock!! It amazes me how well they work. I shut mine off for about 15mins last weekend and suddenly I started hearing the dreaded buzzing around my head and even got bit on the ear so turned the thermacell back on and in a few mins not a single mosquito around me.. love em

Nock em down, Drag em out!!

They work! I mainly use it for spring turkey hunting but it's always in my bag for early deer season too.

They work, I live in Fl and hunt in swamps for deer, turkey and hogs and salt marshes for ducks. I WILL NOT go in the woods without one. You turn that thing on and no more bugs buzin you, no more movement from swatting bugs, makes sitting alot more comfy.

I went out and bought one the other day. Regular "scent-free" version I think. I'll update when I get to try it!

It has a slight scent but doesnt seem to matter to the deer.

Works awesome! I was worried about the scent untill last weekend when I was on a spot and stalk for hogs and had a doe walk within 3 yards of me on the ground. She saw me before she smelled me. I always hunt wind concious any how.

I know this is an old post but has anybody had an animal spook on them with a thermacell. I was using mine for the first time bear hunting last fall and that thing just smelt terrible and if I could smell it I know the bear could smell it. I had a couple bear spook when it was on. I also had a bear come right underneath me and stick its nose straight into the air and I believe it was because of the thermacell, he then went to the bait. The next morning I had the thermacell on for a little bit but the scent worried me so I shut it off and ended up shooting my bear.

They work really well for getting mosquitos away I just dont know if I am quite sold on them for bear or deer hunting yet. I will have to test mine out more next season deer hunting. But what do you all do about the scent that comes out. Is there anything that you can do I know that there is the earth scent and that is what I was using while bear hunting. But still there is a lot of scent.

Without a doubt great invention use mine all the time sitting on the porch at the cabin and whatever else

You pretty much have to use one year round here in Florida. I had a button buck walk under me last season before he smelled it and looked up. So far that's the only game I've spooked. If you hunt the wind it shouldn't an issue.
