I use the regular scent that comes with it. My Thermacell fell on the ground one day during a deer hunt and a doe came up from behind my stand. She walked over, smelled it and walked right in and started feeding.

I would rather forget my release or quiver than to forget my thermacell!!!

Works great never any issues, and my wife also has them everywhere in the backyard!

No, spray your cloths with the Sawyers Permithrin for tick and also mosquitos. Made for the military.

As far as Thermacells there great just don't buy the one's with the turn knob that turns them on. They'll turn on by themselves all the time and run out your butane.

Used my Thermacell both in WI and in Canada without issue. Sawyers Permithrin spray is the best stuff to combat Ticks that Ive found thus far

I still can not believe as long as the Thermocell has been out, there are still people that dont use it.. I mean mosquito's effect EVERYONE!!!!!!!! No one person is exempt... Have seen at some stores after the morning hunt where someone says " Man, I saw a nice buck this morning.. but the mosquito's were really bad.. They ate me up"..... When I recommend the Thermocell, they look at me like I came from Mars.... I try to educate everyone I can, and if passing along the Thermocell trick allows more folks to enjoy the woods, I am happy..

Absolutely love my Thermacell.. shot my doe last Friday evening with it on. I believe deer can smell it but it doesn't spook or alarm them. A serious tool to have and I would consider it an asset to my hunting. Love it and they work so well!!

Nock em down, Drag em out!!

I ended up buying one and wore it sitting in my stand on Saturday night. Didn't see anything, but didn't get bit by anything either!
