    1. It does NOT smell like a human, so no issue.
    2. If they smell it, they smell you. So you are done anyway. Deer can smell you from only 1 direction but can see you swatting mosquitos from every direction.

I see no reason not to use one. Well, other than cost and having another thing to take with you I guess.

Im using mine. Mosquito's are nasty and a few people have contracted diseases in my local area from them. Not worth it. Id rather spook a deer than risk contracting something

I've killed a few bears while running a thermacell! I say use it and play the wind like others have stated.

LOL! Too Funny!! My AHH HA moment for Thermacell was a hunt I was on a few years back. I was hunting from a ladder stand and accidentally knocked my Thermacell to the ground. I had a doe walk under my stand a little while later, sniff it and walk right on by to the field I was hunting.

yay depending on your definition of mature...but I've had numerous three and four year old bucks come by while hunting with the thermacell running and they didnt seem to care one bit. I've also had countless does and younger bucks come through as well using it early season. I dont think the deer are bothered by the smell at all. They are most definitely bothered by me swatting at skeeters and moving in the stand if I forget my thermacell.

Yay! Many hunters have questioned whether Thermacell's negatively affect deer and spook them. The simple answer is no. Can can smell them but they do not spook. Check out this article for an in-depth explanation of how deer react to Thermacells, the best model and refills to buy for hunting, and tips for using them while hunting: whitetailpropertydesign.com/can-deer-smell-your-thermacell/
