I don't know for sure, but I'll put a guess out there. A refill pack contains three pads and one butane cartridge. The butane is supposed to last for a max of 12 hours according to package. I would say 3-4 hours/patch.

They say 3-4 per pad but i use mine often during the early season and they last quite a bit longer. If i remember correctly one pad lasted me about 6 hours. I usually replace the butane before i use all 3 pads. Great product though, you never even see a bug when this thing is on!

I've used two pads so far since I bought my thermocell, got about 4 1/2- 5 hrs from each and my first butane cartridge is at the very end. So say about 9 1/2 hrs from one butane cartridge and two pads. That's in the summer, I'm sure that the butane will burn down quicker in the cooler weather.

I put massive amounts of deet on last Sat. and let's just say that didn't last very long. Thought it was too windy for the thermacell. Got fed up from the onslaught and fired it up. Unbelievable. No more attacks. I usually switch mine after 3 hours.

It says right on the original box that you get a max of 4 hours. I just bought one for the early season. All I can say is you had better turn that thing on BEFORE you get to your hunting area. That is one seriously noisy unit when you activate/turn it on!
