I'm gonna buy a thermacell. Should I buy the regular or earth scent cartridges? Earth scent sounds like a good idea but i'm not sure.

i aint never tried the earth scent but ill tell ya the thermacel is the best money youll ever spend. I know the regular works great, so I would assume that the earth scent would too

I don't think the deer mind, both work well. I originally used the un-scented, but now I have earth scent bc there was a good sale on them and I picked up a pile of em.

i used the earth scent on a hog hunt earlier this year. I had that thing goin from the time i walked in to the stand until i walked out. The times i had deer around me, it never seemed to bother them. I even had a deer walk about 5 yds in front of my stand.

I haven't used anything but the regular stuff, for no other reason that I have a bunch of it....I would say get whatever is cheaper and don't worry about it.
I am camping in the DAKs right now. Yesterday a rain the Mosquitos were bad...I had two thermacells running at the camp full time...they worked super.

This is an awesome product for anyone that plays outdoors

I'm sure it would be just like a cover scent wafer but honestly I think it's unnecessary. I have used Thermacell in the stand for about 5 years now with the regular inserts and it hasn't bothered a single deer that I've had under the stand.

Me too no problems spookin deer and a great product except once last yr. Hog hunting in the everglades in fl. Those skeeter's r as big as birds and they just laughed at the thermacell. Right at dark, waiting to be picked up by the outfitter, we must have been bit a hundred times each. I was getting woozy from blood loss. The thermacell didn't even phase those thirsty buggers. But thats the only time it didn't work for me.
