Thermacell...earth scent worth it? Or gimmick?

Is it necessary to use the earth sent for the thermacell?

 

No, either refill works fine.

I've never had any deer bust me while using the regular one. I personally don't think it's needed since the radius isn't too far from the device and it likely dissipates into vapors before it goes too far to make much of a difference.

 

I didn't even know they made such a thing.

 

I a with spear on this one. I have never had an issue with the original.

Either works... neither spooks game. I actually think the original controls bugs a little better.

ive used both, and have noticed zero difference. i usually grab what ever refills are available

 

I use both whatever one I happen to grab when loading my pack I've noticed no difference but I agree the the original seemingly works better

 

Not that I recall... but I buy original. I usually get earth as gifts.

 

I've also heard the original works better. That's the one I use.

Some things are just created to increase sales.

 

Just a nice change of scent. Both are good

I use the earth smells like dirt so makes as a good cover scent as well. Works good.

 

I'm ready for cooler weather. At this rate I probably should've put some stock in Thermacell. I'm blowing through the gas and pads like crazy.
