... so I was watching TV this afternoon and several times this same commercial comes up. It's down right sacrilegious.
The new product is Crown Royal/Maple Finished. YUK..... how could they do that to Crown Royal. There should be a law against such vial things.

I tried it and liked it. BUT, I LOVE maple anything. I agree that it seemed like a bad idea, but I had to buy a bottle and like a candle burning on both ends, it did not last the night. lol

Found a grocery store that had original Crown on sale for 19.99 for a 750ml bottle with no limit so I got a case. At the same time I got a bottle of the Maple Crown for 24.99. Normally the regular Crown is about $29 per 750ml here. What do you guys pay? I think we have pretty high state tax on booze.

I have kind of become a fan of Jameson lately. Not bad at all.

I have tried it, and I don't like it at all. It leaves a filmy feeling in my mouth, but I don't know if mixing it would help that it not. I'm more of a Jack guy myself when it comes to whiskey.

me too, wonder why? It doesn't have the smoothness I like or the finish of single malts I drink...but i like in the right setting and time.

I am kind of the same way on Jameson. Tried it while on a fishing trip to Lake of the Woods over a year ago and I grab a bottle of it every now and then. Not sure why, but I just like it for a change on occasion. My go to favorite for a while now has been Glenlivit. I love sitting by the fireplace, playing the guitar and sipping on a tumbler of the Glen. Nearly a perfect evening.

Not big on the idea of a maple infused Canadian blend. I suppose it's worth it to try once, but I'm sure I'll find myself sipping makers mark or something by Glenmorangie in the near future.
