It's basic CCW stuff absolutely correct. Was Zimmerman in Danager from Mr. martin when he first saw him? Yes or No Was Mr. Martin a threat to anyone in his family or property at that time? Yes or No Was Mr. Martin a threat to anyone at that time? Yes or No
I guess the defense could argue a black person saying "crazy *** cracker" then getting involved in a serious physical altercation with that person could prove Trayvon was racialy motivated to beat Zimmerman. Could you imagine if some nice black gentleman was remaining vigilant in his neighborhood like a good citizen and was trailing a suspicious white person....and then that suspicious white person verbally described the black gentlemen as a "crazy *** ni****" before a serious physical altercation broke out? IT WOULD NOT be tolerated and the media/everyone would jump all over the racist white guy.
Did he pick a fight or was he investigating an issue when he was attacked? I really don't know. What does the evidence say?
Why's it up to him to investigate? It's called a neighborhood WATCH. (Not meant in the tone it might read)
1. NO 2. Possible(nobody but Martin can have known this - also Zimmerman was part of the neighborhood watch, not just his own families watch) 3. Possible(""""""") Did Zimmerman approach Martin with his gun drawn? Did Martin call the cops because 'he was being followed by some crazy........."? How long did it take for the Police to arrive - even just the time that it took to get there after the shooting(Martin COULD have committed a crime and been long gone before any law enforcement might have been remotely near the area).
Manslaughter is a crime.....in my opinion hes a neighborhood watch ego maniac who thought he could save the day and **** got real....hes a CCW holder that is way under trained and took the wrong steps...he put himself in that courtroom....you have to have a different pattern of thought when trouble...or in this case suspicion...is present when there is a firearm involved and be prepared for the consequences because right or wrong when you pull that trigger you will most likely end up in cuffs whether you took all the right steps or not....call it being a pansy or gutless or whatever but he could be home with his family had he made the right decisions......im not saying he cant defend himself but when you persue a threat thats walking away knowing conflict could arise its on you...look the kid is no beacon of civility either but hes not the one who persued first and hes not the one who pulled the trigger Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
If Mr martin keeps walking , All is good, he goes back and assaults an armed man, bad move on his part.
While I definitely agree someone with a ccw needs to evaluate every situation differently because they have the ability to end a life it doesn't mean because you have a ccw you do nothing because of that reason. Maybe Zimmerman felt the neex to do something for that reason maybe not? Nobody knows but the argument your making is the same argument we are facing here in Illinois, and seeing your from NY you too, and thats that every pereon with a ccw and uses their weapon in self defense is looking to get involved in situations with hope of shooting someone. Would it have stopped Martin from getting shot if the firarm was left in car, maybe but there's several instances where after something like this happens the firearmis retrieved from vehicle and used. Obviously the firearm never came into play until after a altercation but did it make Zimmerman persue further after calling the police, who knows maybe bit maybe not. It sounds like maybe this took place in a not so good neighborhood so if Zimmerman was trying to be a rent-a-cop maybe that the reason, or maybe he shoulda took out his phone and video tapped it like all the idiots over in Britain when the soldier got killed or the other news story recently were somone almost got beaten to death. I'm sure the reasoning behind getting out of the car was "I've got a gun, I'll make a citizens arrest", at least until that's the proven motive.
So Zimmerman didnt provoke and escalate the situation by continuing to follow him?...it blows my mind that people think he is a poor innocent man who was minding his own business while protecting his neighbors.....he handled it all wrong period....ive said it before no clear and present danger to someones life or well being do not approach or engage ....if anyone thinks otherwise I sincerely hope none of them are CCW holders Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Your opinion doesn't matter. (From a legal standpoint) Manslaughter didn't happen if it was self defense. This is like blaming a woman for being raped for wearing a short skirt into a bar. The only question that matters is did zimmerman provoke the attack. Beyond that nothing else matters. Hopefully there is enough evidence to prove that one way or the other. Our court system is set up a certain way for a reason. I hope none of you are on that side of the law but if you are, you will want the system to work as it should. I've been on that side. Its not a fun place to be. (Wrongly accused and was found not guilty) I've also been a witness and a juror. sent from my samsung note 2
He lives there for Gods sake, why can't a man legally licensed to carry a fire arm not walk the same streets a that the deceased did with out the threat of being assaulted, had they been friends was a crime committed? Of course not, then Mr martin made the mistake of attacking a man whom was better prepared for a confrontation,
I understand the fight we have (keep on keeping on by the way:thumbup.....but the point im trying to say is Zimmerman is the exact reason we are in the fight....he initiated the conflict...he didnt avoid the conflict when he easily could have and thats the problem...it makes educated CCW holders look bad.....self defense is when a threat comes at you FIRST...when you persue it and initiate the possibility of conflict based on curiosity and suspicion alone its no longer self defense Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Ha we're trying if we can get our governor to play nice, thanks tho. I gothcha though and I agree its definitely bad for "the cause." The whole situation was undoubtedly handle wrong and don't think the real truth will ever come out.
He wasnt "walking the streets".....he was following martin......if some dude is following you down the streets even after you try to lose him wouldnt that put you on gaurd as well....granted its bad choices all around here but Zimmerman wasnt just casually walking around minding his own business Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
