Well my Schaffer rest has had hundred maybe even thousands of shots through it and it finally got the best of the rest I'm looking at the NAP Apache and the Trophy Taker Smackdown pro or the Schaffer XV what are your opinions ?
Of the 3 you listed, I only have experience with the trophy taker smackdown pro. Easy to set up, quiet, works flawlessly for me. I have about 2 years of use on my first one and it has worked so well for me, I also put one on my new bow (kept the other on my "back up" bow). I don't know what the others offer for a warranty but I know the trophy taker has a lifetime warranty.
I have a QAD and like it, but after reading the title I thought there is a lot worse things during hunting season then that. How about a boss telling you have a out of town business trip, or something real bad like that.. Good luck
QAD here also. had an issue with my rest, called QAD and they took care of me. Customer service was beyond top notch
NAP Apache can be had at a great price...easy to set up, reliable, and quiet. I have one on two of my bows, and I'm very satisfied with them.
I have the reverse. I prefer the QAD slightly because it's true 100% containment and because the limb-driven Smackdown string is so long it seems to grab a lot of brush on the way to the stand. My "backup" bow is actually my primary elk bow and I will be putting a new/already purchased HDX on it next spring.
My Synergy came with a Smackdown Pro, I sold it and put a QAD HDX on it. I have been using them since 2012 and I have been very happy so I have no need to change.
I had 3 QAD. All were very loud and all ended up with issues. Have 2 Ripcode Cord Red. Nice but still a little noisy (quieter than QAD by far). I HUNT with 2 NAP Apache Carbon. VERY quiet and only 1 moving part. About 1/2 the cost of a QAD too.
Apache on two bows. They work well and have never had a problem. They have both been hunted hard and taken abuse.
I'm voting for the Apache. Give the G5 Cmax a look,it's a full capture drop away so you get the best of both worlds.I use one and really like it however it's a little on the expensive side.
