Yeah definitely. And I'm probably one of the few who prefers less than 80 perfect let off. Please pm me the specs for that moose arrow. Sound intriguing as I'm looking for something for an elk and hog soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I built two arrows. I have to see what tunes better BEA 350 Rampage 28", 125 Solids, 50 Grain Brass HIT, 12 grain flanged VPA collar, three blazers, and X nock. Total weight 440ish with a ton of FOC OR BEA 300 Rampage 28", 125 Grain Solids, 75 Grain Brass HITS, 12 grain Flanged VPA collar, blazers and X nock 480 grains total...lots of FOC
Very nice. I had plans to do something kind of similar of VAPs and the 100 grain outsert but I don't no how I feel about the outsert anymore. I like my axis with the brass insert. They have a ton of weight but they are a heavy GPI shaft so the FOC isn't too high. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have tried just about every outset and half out there is. I wont touch them anymore. I cant keep them straight with heavy use. I wont go near deep six with the weak thin ferrules. So that leaves me with .204 shafts and HITS . I used to build footing to use with them but now Ray at VPA is building a nicer footing with a flange then I could ever dream of building. Totally protects the face of the shaft and goes far enough dow that it cover the internal junction of the HIT...its fool proof. best I ever seen.
I might go to the black Eagles. Like the ability to use the HITs and the footing sounds awesome. I just can't get the FOC I want from the axis without going to a super heavy spine and a ton of tip weight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Enkiss and I were just texting the same thing...if i could get the FOC i need i would use FMJ, cant do it.
Yeah they're some of my favorite shafts and I wish I could find a way to make it work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A new set of 3 lone wolf climbing sticks! Only 6 days too late as I just filled my tag on Sunday evening with the biggest doe of my career. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
Went to Cabelas and to my surprise they had The Vortex 10x42 binocs for 149.99 and they had $20 coupon on top of that so I got them for 130+tax. Also picked up a couple sets of base layers to replace my 20 year old hand me downs I have been wearing.
I got a Wholesale Sports giftcard for Christmas, so I made a little trip down there today. I ended up getting a new set of Carbon Express arrows (the ones I currently use are no longer being stocked), a pair of Under Armour camo gloves (they're a kids M, because I have tiny hands), a new arm guard that actually fits my little arms and a package of Deer target papers.
2015 Hoyt Charger. Shot the 2015 Charger and its 2016 replacement Powermax. The Powermax I shot had a slight vibration and didn't shot as smooth in my opinion. Got the charger with sight, quiver, and drop away rest for $415.
Good find. Mine was $550 back in the Spring. I found a used Trophy Taker Smackdown Pro on the AT classifieds for $75 shipped. Going to try a limb driven rest.
My friend told me about it. Guy has an archery shop in Athens Ohio. I had my friend pick it up for me. My parents are going to bring it to me when they visit in the summer along with my 2015 buck. Best price I could find anywhere.
