I bought silencing materials from the tree stand silencing store today... covers for my climbing sticks and LW stands. I look forward to installing them and seeing the difference in noise. Also picked up some other goodies from TSC to help me pack my gear (stand, sticks etc.) for carries in and out.

Tru-Fire 3D Hunter Release as a back-up to my Tru-Fire 3D Hunter Release since I am unable to locate my other Tru-Fire 3D Hunter Release that was previously being used as my back-up.

Ha yea it's kind of a weird design but having round bales all over the farm I hunt figured it's worth a shot.

I got it a a local farm store, Farm and Home, and it was little over 400 with everything. Pretty pricey but depending on what stands a person buys it's not bad

grabbed some lightly used Midland 2-way radios in mossy oak camo w/silent alert, from ebay.
there's a big hollow my buddy and I hunt that gets no cell service.
it'll be nice to be able to communicate deer movement and get down time.

They work great. Until you run over one with a backhoe. Not going to say exactly how I know that.

    LOL.

had to make sure i got silent/vibrate alert models.
2 years ago my other buddy had a set we used, i always called him, not knowing it went de-la-le-la-leeee when i did, as he had never called me.
i found out about the alert noise when he started cursing out loud, a giant 10 point trailing a doe were right under him.
as he was ready to draw they both looked straight up at the wierd noise eminating out of his pocket and high tailed it like a top fuel dragster
needless to say he never brought them radios again :)

Just bought 6 Easton Bowfire 330's and a Trufire Hardcore Revolution. So far loving them both. Taking a little getting used to the handle release instead of a buckle type.
