I considered the Exxus too. This is JMHO. The Exxus thumb bracket thingie was just too much for me. I know it gives more adjustment but it looks like something out of Inspector Gadget to me. Will all those screws stay tight? IDK. I just liked the simple approach to the Carter. Again, JMHO.

I also did not like how the Exxus pinkie hooked around so much. I like a smaller pinkie area rather than that fish hook looking thing.

    My experiences mirror your thoughts.

All the adjustments are a bit overwhelming, especially after having an old release with no adjustments. You could spend a full year trying out every little adjustment.

Also, I liked the hook initially, but then it started to bother my pinkie. With a four finger, there is no stragglers and you could probably get more leverage with it.

Just bought this pack from badlands. I will be using it in Colorado on an Elk Archery hunt in 2016. I didnt need a pack frame for packing meat because we are riding up from base camp on horses and will be using them for pack outs!

Just received the Hawk 360° bow hanger and I'm not impressed. The idea is nice but it's as big as a camera arm.

An extra set of clearance camo. Pants are from scentblocker and look like good quality for a plain uninsulated pant. Also bought the s4 gear sidewinder evo tether system for rangefinders or small gadgets. Gonna work great with my s4 lock down bino system. Almost done shopping for my elk trip! Few more things I believe.
