Hey guys. Putting this here because gear some times means shipping. Well just got a call from a friend got bit by a copperhead. He opened a UPS package and it had a bonus in it. A small copperhead that bit clean through his finger
So open packages with care. Apparently you never know.

Not today but earlier this year, just never got around to posting. Bought a “restored” 1950 TO-20 Ferguson tractor. I replaced a few parts, added a few parts, swapped brake pads and cleared all my trails. Image1664586780.258916.jpg

It's embarrassing the amount of money I have spent on clothing and gear this year, so I thought I would update on the Catalyst jacket I mentioned above (as well as the bibs I recently got as well, ooops). Both the jacket and bibs are top notch. Comfortable, not restrictive and move with me not against me. This is not a cold weather system, but I think with layering, I can get through most of the year comfortably before breaking out the big guns. Up until just a few short years ago, I hunted with a Wal-Mart pull over fleece into late November and just layered until I felt like the Michelin man, so I value a good set of warm, comfy hunting clothes.

I hunted in the set last week when I killed a doe. I think it was in the 50's and I didn't layer at all, just a t shirt and shorts under the jacket and bibs. I wasn't too warm nor too cold. As the day warmed up, I was peeling the jacket and bibs to finish cleaning the doe. Overall, I am impressed and have no complaints about the set. Pockets are good and well placed. Fit is good. If you want to know the details of all that the set has to offer, go the their website for more. I'm just here to tell you I do not regret the purchase.

I have the normal version, not the WT version. Are the pockets on the WT version that "jersey" netting? I do wish they had a wind barrier in the WT version, too. Until then, I will prbably just stick with the normal catalyst jacket.

Turned out best I could. No netting here, just that fleece type material that faces the outer part of the jacket. 20221003_110759.jpg

Well that is better than the OG Catalyst - i cant stand the jersey netting. Maybe I will look more into the WT version.

The harness pass through is well covered when not in use. The big pass through zippers to get to your bib pockets are awesome.

I have the og sanctuary and it is almost too much! It comes out when it really gets cold. Now that I'm living in NC, I've thought of selling it.

I had to buy it for the MN winters LOL, the OG Solitude couldnt cut the wind. now that the new solitutde has a wind barrier, it might be another option for MN winters.

Just bought a dozen of those arrows that Exodus outdoors is making. I received an email saying I was a seconds place winner and received $60 off my order. Dozen arrows should last me 2 weeks the way I’ve been shooting lately. Look forward to trying them out. Don’t think I would have tried them but I like the content Exodus puts out and would like to support them.

Bought a Tethrd one stick (gen 3? the latest one) and I should get it in the mail today. @Justin was pimping em on one of the latest BHOD episodes and I got a single. I only have 3 sticks for my LW, so I thought I would add a lighter 4th stick. If I really like it, I may order the 3 stick bundle next season and shelve the LW sticks. A lot of features beat the crap out of the LW sticks, so it may be no contest.

It took 4 or 5 days to ship...I guess they had a ton of orders. I'm not complaining. It will be here in plenty of time before I hunt again.

Trophy Ridge Hex Light Quiver. It was delivered yesterday, still in the package, didn't have time to set it up last night.

What did it replace? Let me know what you think of it when you get a chance.

It replaced the standard 4-arrow quiver from Fuse that came standard on Hoyt bows 5-10 years ago. Never really liked that FUSE quiver, lost a few arrows over the years that just fell out walking through the woods. I found the arrows a couple of times or I would have lost at least half a dozen.
