Correct Sir. I have a Black Gold Ascent Verdict on my other bow and wanted to try something different.
I went a little crazy this year. where do i start. ordered -4 beast mini sticks -eastern outdoors aiders -eberlestock x2 pack -vortex vipers -Savage 220 slug gun with barnes thumbhole stock -savage reneguage (duck gun) - 5’ hooyman (i have 10’ but lost the saw was just as cheap to buy whole new setup than just saw)
Got rid of my Sitka Fanatic jacket and bibs. Too bulky for my liking. Picked up a set of Ambush bibs from Rivers West. Had them out the other day and I like them. Did figure out that I need to wear gators or tuck the legs in rubber boots. They wick water during multiple creek crossing. Wasn’t a issue until I got home. Hung them up and took a while to dry out. Couple little things I’d change like vertical zippers on the leg pockets and a small pouch on right leg pocket to hold my wind checker. Same setup as my ScentBlocker Outfitter pants.
Yesterday was my lucky day. Stopped at a Thrift store I haven't been to in a while. Pink tags were 50% off. Found a Guide Gear 3D leafy ghuille suit. Top and bottom. 30.00. Also a shirt and pants by Rocky. Scent IQ atomic technology in a Mossy Oak break up pattern. Shirt was 6.50 and the pants, 7.50. I've put on a few pounds since I've last bow hunted and these were all 2X. Perfect. Oh, while wandering the shelves, I found a Vapor Trail Limbdriver rest. It's the original but, new in the package. 99 cents! Lol.
Just ordered some Arra Footers from Tuffhead. Going to see if I can make the business end of my arrows at little beefier.
Stopped by another thrift store today. Found a Guide Series 20 lbs. meat mixer for 19.99. A true 20 pounder. Not the cheapy one that actually holds 17 lbs. Needs a little TLC. Not a big deal. Score!
wanting a new bow, maybe the SR350, but will wait to see if Elite brings out a longer A-A version of the Envision.. in the mean time got a new MBG Revenge fixed pin, sent it back to them for reconfiguration of the pins, .019 Green, yellow, green, yellow (cant stand red !!) ... they are a press fit micro-adjust and cant be changed by the owner w/o screwing them up .. nice sight, it will be the first fixed pin I'll be hunting with in almost 20 years, I am a single pin/HHA/Tetra or OL5519 user usually ...
