Kicking myself for not getting it sooner but ended up getting the trophy ridge react h5 sight. I should've bought it a few weeks ago when it was on sale for $84.99. The price kept climbing and I think I ended up getting it for $110.
Got a Kifaru bikini frame for $125. Gonna be great for my elk hunt. Now just need to find a bag. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Had my local Hoyt dealer order me a Hyperforce bow with #2 cams, 40-50lb bow, in Realtree Edge camo. I'm 70 years old and started shooting last Sept at 30lbs. Just upped the draw weight to 40lbs about 8 weeks ago (Diamond bow). He had a bow set at 50lbs and I was able to draw it, get my anchor point, aim and shoot the arrow. I wouldn't want to shoot 60 arrows at that weight right now but I'm working my way up to it. New adjustment will be around 44-45lbs.
Picked up a new to me Barnett Vengeance. Have not shot it yet due to weather. Love the balance and the way it handles. The guy threw in a dozen new Trophy Ridge Insidious 22" arrows 10.7 gpi, a detachable quiver couple lube tubes, along with a few points and other arrows, 2 of which are original with the bow. This was his 3rd crossbow and decided this was not for him and ordered a new Mathew's and had to sell some stuff to help pay for the Mathew's. His loss - my gain.
Got a good used ladder stand for 1/4 of WalMart sale price last fall. Gave me a real good price on 4 more hang on stands, one was home made and a little heavy. Be a good one to chain to a tree and leave it. Will try and sell the hang on's this fall and get a couple more ladder stands. Still piled in the truck so cannot get decent photos. Looks like a scrap pile back there.
I got the red rock brand. I really like it, the only thing I learned was to put it on once I got to my spot.. otherwise everything that suit touched in Texas was sticking to it.
I'm thinking about selling my Sitka Tool Bucket and trying out the tree house. I think you use sitka, how do those compare? Which do you like better?
The treehouse has a longer profile then i expected. should be great to carry a bow lashed to the pack as there is plenty of length to lash against.Might be a pain digging things out of the bottom of the pack when its hanging...or it might not. i need to try it a time or two. the pocket layout is nice, very similar to the tool box however with a more intuitive layout on the lid as its toward you rather then behind the pack. lots of room here for anything youd bring on long sits. The ziper on the side are nice and it kills the circle zipper on the sitka, easier to use, less zippper and more quiet. The hook closer in the center lid however could have neen better thought out. might be hard to acess in the dark. The pack seems to ride well with the yoke and i cant see it being uncomfortable for anyone with avg size and carting a typical load for stand hunting. Fit and finish is typical MR, Excellent. i like it ... not earth shattering but a step up on the sitka version. maybe 8.5 out 10 for me...
I just ordered the Primos bow sling, Muzzy small game heads and MX-3 broadheads and a rheostat light for my sight.
Not today but over the past few months. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Picked up half a dozen Black Eagle Outlaws. Trying a new arrow company, wasn’t happy with what I was shooting before. If I like the first six I will make it a full dozen. 300 spine at 28” arrow weighs 400 grains with 100 grain point. May bump it up to 125 grains if the penetration is lacking.
