I love it when I finally have a chance to hit the woods and the night before it only gives a 10% chance till noon and as you are loading your 4 wheeler with all your gear it suddenly starts to pour...

When the alarm went off at 4 it was thundering and lightning... I went back to sleep. Looks like it is going to blow through though. Should be a good afternoon sit as this cold front has arrived.

I sat in my stand Friday night "during" the early season blizzard we had & the deer were crazy. I've yet to see any deer (in person or on camera) before 6:00 & I was bumping deer left & right when I went in @ 4:30. They were back under me in 15 minutes. @ the end of the sit I was soaked & miserable but excited with all the action!

I'd take that over the weather we're seeing in PA right now. It's tranquil and 80 degrees and has been like this for about a week. Yesterday, my thermometer outside the house read 88 in the sun. Needless to say, the deer didn't move yesterday.

It's been upper 80's the past two days in MD. Supposed to cool down and be back to normal this week.
