The primary system needs to be changed. Most Republicans in this country don't even get to vote in the primary with all the candidates still running. Most have dropped out.The candidates are decided in the first few elections. But I guess that is all they really care about.

I wish they would hold 1 large election and let the candidate with the most votes run.

I mean seriously. You now need to break the action take out two shells, load in two more, and close the action! In that time someone could unload a magazine on you! Not saying he is an idiot. But this statement was completely idiotic! If some one is in my house I want an AR! Granted I think magazine capacity limits are necessary. A 30 round clip is two much. Chances are no more than 3 people will enter your home. If you can't kill them all with 10 rounds something is wrong.

"Chances are" I personally don't own a weapon that holds more then 10 bullets and I don't see the need to at this point in time but I see where someone could want them and need them. So you want to give the government the power to take that right away? It's a slippery slope with giving up your rights and I for one don't want to give this right up.

With that logic why not 3 round limits...it's not like 10 guys are entering your home!

Heaven forbid the guy who wants to have fun at the range without owning 15 clips or spending 2/3 of his time reloading...

If you want to limit yourself to 10 rounds go right ahead. But that does not give you or anyone else the right to tell another american citizen how many rounds of capacity you think the second ammendment entitles them.

I'm not saying limit your rights. I full support the second amendment. It's just my personal opinion.

Until that person that kicks your door in is carrying a glock 17 or something similar that holds 17 rounds with stardard mag and there's three of them. You'd be pretty out gunned and idk about u but if someone comes into my home I choose not to be out gunned or to hope in all the confusion I make three well placed shots center mass on all three targets and they go down before I'm reloading. I was taught to assault through the threat with overwhelming firepower, not hope I'll have just enough.

Very good point. I'm 13 and don't really watch the news. My view point is totally from what I've heard second hand. I would most definitely want as much stopping power or capacity as possible

Yea its jus one them deals where everyone has to be careful what your willing to give up. The pro gun side is sadly gonna be the ones comprimising, jus haveta make sure its not too much like what they did in NY. Most people have the attitude that there is no need for anything over a 10 or even 15 round mag, in some ways I can agree with that but the problem I havd with it is they've only been introducing laws that limit what you or I can own and want us to be dependent on gov or law to protect us from people that are still goin to be using whatever they want. Are most ppl ever gonna haveta truely defend themselves or family, probably not, but why open doors that limit your rights that can't be closed very easily. But that's jus my opinion and its good that you have your own regardless of how old you are, just think right now with all the craziness goin on with these different laws that are being introduced everyone that supports the 2nd amendment needs to stay together and not be willing to give up things because you don't need them or see the point.

Hope that all makes sense kinda felt like I rambled a little bit ha

It's nice to see you take an interest in this please educate yourself on the 2nd amendment and what it is truly for. It's not about hunting, it's about protecting your rights as an american. Something this administration doesn't believe in

Yeah I don't why they are so caught up in the guns and not the people committing the crimes.

Yup 10 round magazines for 3 people really isn't much. If you want some kind of re-enactment, get some airguns with plastic bbs or paintballs and try the standoff. Its not as easy to hit 3 people especially when theyre shooting back at you.

Really it's interesting to read all this. This is really a matter of culture. In my country, people can't have guns unless they are hunters...and only hunting weapons. Actually i never saw a hand gun with my own eyes

People here mostly can't understand you guys. But who are we to judge you ? I don't have a gun, only a bow...But the bad guys don't have any gun either...so...What would i do if i was in danger ? Take my bow ? I would shoot the bastard with everything, including a war weapon...if i had to protect my family.

There is a crew of about 10-15 guys and sometimes more that do home invasion's in my area. They come out of New Jersey and have been slick enough in the past that only one time has a person been home when they hit a house. I wouldn't want a double barrel shotgun or even a 10 round magazine when these guys are breaking in.
