So a buddy and I went to northern MO this past weekend for some turkey hunting and to just......get away for a couple days. The turkey just absolutely, positively whipped my tail, but we had a good time! The weather was just perfect and being in the woods for a couple days really rejuvinated me.

This is the view from the porch. It is just beautiful up there, and quiet? I've never been anywhere as quiet as this place is.

Now this is nice! A comfortable place to stay, right on the farm! No hotel rooms, no drive in the morning.....It's just perfect.

This thing right here is BAD ARSE! Polaris Sportsman 800, EFI HO. Alls I'm gonna say is......Hang the hell on! If you can...

This is one knarly oak tree! Can you imagin if this tree could talk??

Here was my perch for the better part of the hunt. I am still just stunned I didn't see any birds in this field but it is what it is. I sure am glad I have permission to deer hunt this farm, though. I saw nearly 20 deer while sitting in this blind in only 2 mornings.

No dead turkeys by anyone but we had a great time! Downed a little Goose and relaxed. I can't wait to hang a stand this fall, that's for sure!

Welcome to the club! I was hunting with the Remington this weekend since I only had 2 days to fill my second tag. I had a couple of gobblers that stayed just off of my property both days. They would answer my calls and move towards me once in a while. But they stayed across a hollow on the neighbors ridge both days.

I'm gonna have to see your security clearance first. This is highly classified, top secret information and the last thing I need is the CIA dogging me in a black Tahoe and helicopters buzzing past. They've already locked on to my GPS and track my every move. Shoot, the President has my folder on his desk at all times. I'm just looking out for you, I'm afraid they would be dogging your every move as well if I were to tell you. I'm all about protecting my fellow man.

HA HA, well it looks a lot like my neighbors place. I was gonna offer to have you over and have a beer or something. I recently just met the land owner, nice guy and his nephew. Still some questions I'd like to ask them.
