    SUCKS!!

Usually Tigers first tournament he plays in this week at Torrey Pines. Obviously for reasons that the entire planet knows of he's not playing. I kind of like watching the young guys trying to make a name for themselves and it seems like more competition within the field. It's also neat seeing who might step up and take the new head honcho role on tour. But...... .at the end of the day it still sucks without Tiger roaming the fairways and his name not on the leaderboard. Just a totally different feel to the event.

    I find it refreshing.

No one is bigger than the game. Not even Tiger.

Golf's like a bucket of water. SInce Tiger's come to the TOUR....he's stuck his arm down in it and shook the contents up, like few have before him. But, when his arm is removed.....the water settles, and the game returns to it's normal state. Always has. Always will.

Just lacks something without Tiger. No intensity. The intensity Tiger brings. The intensity of people trying to take down the giant. The intensity of the galleries. The intense ratings. The intensity of back 9 on sunday afternoon. Just all REALLY different now. Just strange to think and see first hand how the tour was before Tiger and how it would/will be without Tiger. Half of me misses it, half of me finds it pretty neat. I dunno. Maybe I'll take another run at it and really stir things up out there hehehehe.

Don't forget the HUGE ratings bump the networks get when Tiger is playing and is in contention. Like him or not, people do watch Golf a lot more when Tiger is playing.

What we have great drama on tour. Phil has found a loop hole and is playing with 20 year olds clubs, lol Scott M has called him a cheater, Phil has threaten to sue. Golf is such a gentlemens game these days.

Tiger is somewhere, who knows where trying to save a marriage he really does not want:(

    HAHAHAHAHAHA:D

I never watched a golf tournament before Tiger's dominance, and I probably won't watch another one until he comes back. He is what made golf entertaining for the average fan.

Just like the economy.....maybe golf's just experiencing a needed "correction".

I'm not sure golf needs everything that Tiger brings (I'm pretty sure it would be a better game without some of the fans he brings to the course). More lucrative? Yes. Needs? No way.

As a casual fan, golf without Tiger is extremely boring. I want to see someone dominate the rest of the field, or make a big Sunday comeback. I want to see someone do things no one else on tour can do. Right now its just a bunch of guys hitting little white balls...no excitement. The most exciting thing in golf right now appears to be some middle aged men crying about the rules.

is extremely boring. As a very, very casual fan (will watch the final rounds on Sunday), I doubt I even watch a tourney until he comes back.

Like you said, it's fun seeing who will step up to dethrown the King of Golf.
