LOL I must of got in to big of rush with typing and typed wrong name. HE HE HE! Well, went for a nice walk this morning and just got in. About 20 minutes into my walk I found a nice 5 point shed laying on a creek crossing. Here are the pics and will be scoring it tomorrow:
found a mid-sized 4 pt side behind the cabin yesterday. can't fiiger out how to get pics to work on new computer
I have been out multiple times since my last shed, with about 18 hour of looking. Still haven't found any more. It sucks! Just to much snow on the ground still. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Went out today 3-7-15 and found 4 more sheds with two making another match for me. I also found a buck that the antlers were cut off already. Here are all the pics from today:
Even though we have 6-8" of snow still on the ground, I getting ready to go out for a few hours. With the weather jumping up into the high 40's today, I cant take sitting inside and need to be in the woods!
Went for another short walk today 3-10-15 to find this one that I must of walked by a few times. The squirrels tore this one up already and was on the opposite side of the thicket where I normally walk.
Here are also a couple pics from today 3-10-15! A few does coming into the woods from feeding. I am on the edge hiding behind the first tree to get these pictures.
Was out all afternoon today with nothing to show... Did see a small buck this morning still holding strong.. One of these days there bound to fall off. LOL
I am heading out tomorrow morning for a few hours before work on some public land that I scouted 2 weeks ago in the snow. Found some good sign there, so I will see what happens. I went out yesterday and hit a piece of woods that I picked up a couple nice sheds in last year, No luck!
Went out to my good spot today and took a buddy with me. We found 6 total with each of us getting three. My buddy found a nice set but the tree rats got that set really good. Two of my three had been chewed on also. The highlight of the day came when we walked out of a thicket and there was a Raccoon that ran up a tree. While taking pictures of the coon he dropped something. When we went over to see what he dropped we could not believe our eyes. My first ever seeing one and we saved the little fella. Here are the pictures from today!
great start Dawg!!. now that the snow is gone, i'll start getting out. just got back from a MT coyote hunt. seen 8 deer on a side hill 250 yards off the road. threw up the bino's and 7 of the 8 were FULL RACKED mulies this was tuesday, March 10th.
dawg come to nw pa we still have 24" of snow in most places. we haven't had much of a chance to even get started. I was out on the snowshoes looking yesterday and am getting tired of wearing those things. forgot what it is like to walk on bare ground.
I would love to take a trip out there again. We ride the Harley's to upper NH and love it. Been there the past two years. We then stop in Pottsville PA for some Yuengling to bring home since we don't have it here in Illinois.
