Dawg I love that 5 pt side, looks like some serious mass on it! I can't believe how many you are finding and it's not even February yet!

Holt it is only three deer. Two match sets lying side by side and then a single. I hope to find more but we just got dumped on by snow and still falling. That will ruin my walks for a bit. I hope the tree rats stay up the trees.

We just got smoked with snow the past two days. I had to plow twice in one day. I will still go for a walk in the morning. If I find some great otherwise I got a great work out in.

Good luck with that snow Dawg! We have still not had a productive snow this year. My deer season just ended on Saturday, and I only saw 1 little doe that looked pregnant on my last sit. So see got a pass this year. Now with the season over I will be full on shed hunting for the next 3-4 months. I don't know about you guys, but I have been looking forward to shed hunting almost as much as bow hunting! I have noticed while I am driving around during work and after I am always scanning the field edges and ditches looking for sheds while driving (this is going to get me in trouble). I got the sickness!

Got out during lunch, went into 1 acre thicket behind a customers house that I see deer in all the time. No sheds, but did find buck sign. So I will check it later in the season.

Went out for a walk and then the snow started falling again. I got a very nice walk / workout in walking through all the snow. On the way out I made the correct turn in the snow. Look how the shed was laying and I did not see it until I was three feet from it. Woot Woot. Still had blood on the end but the snow washed it off when it melted. I also jumped a bunch of bucks still packing both sides and one that was sporting the left side so there is a right side out there to find.

MnMoose - I shed hunt on a bunch of private and some public land. The benefit that I have is that three of my larger properties are NON HUNTING properties. One of them a friend that I just acquired has been trying to get on that property for years with no luck. I asked for the first time and got permission. I will share my secret. When you go to get the permission DO NOT say the word HUNT. I always ask to look for antlers and the Non Hunters don't really know about deer losing antlers every year. So you will have to explain to them the life cycle of antler growth. I also ensure them that their property will be taken care of and no vehicles will be on the property. 9 out of 10 times you will get the permission to look for sheds. Good luck and get as much ground as you can!
