My archery elk season opens this Friday. I tuned and sighted in 6 broad head arrows about two weekends ago. Broad head arrows do not get touched unless hunting, only carry 3 at a time in my quiver. I practice with field points on arrows out of the same dozen.
I’ll shoot sets of 3 arrows, first arrow broadhead followed by 2 field points. I’ll do this a handful of times then switch back to all field points so I don’t beat the target up too bad.
I only shoot broadheads. I have not shot field points for years. Targets are not that expensive and I don't shoot enough to tear them up very often.
