The Surprise Bow

    Well we could not do the presentation today as planned.

    So here are the pics of the bow.

    The riser Ossage with a center strip of Black Walnut, limbs are Ash on the belly with edge grain Pecan on the back, Axis deer antler tip overlays, Ossage wedges and limb butt overlays.

    The reciepent is going out of town tomorrow and wont be back till next Sunday so I will have to drop by his house on Monday to give it to him.

    That their is one Beautiful bow and the riser looks great , love it mate . He sure is a lucky guy , to bad all the best laid plan go tits up . I'm sure he'll love it and appreciate it .

    Realized something looking at these pictures and pictures of other bows in this forum catagory. I have absolutly no idea what is a nice bow or not. All I can judge is if I think it looks pretty. I am totally clueless when it comes to these.

    You can have the best shooting bow possible that looks plain jane and sitting next to it a bow that looks good and shoots like crap.

    90% of people are going to choose the one that looks good.

    I try and build not only bows that look good but shoot as good as they look. If they don't shoot well for me then they get a trip to the band saw and I will start again;)

    Which is another reason I won't ship a bow untill it has been well and truely test shot a couple of hundred times.
