The streak ends at 297. Does Favre play another down ever?

He's toast. No way he's coming back. He knows that but I'm sure he'll leave it open ended in a way to make the best story in the off season. I was kind of hoping he'd play against that Giants front 7. I was going to get some popcorn and watch the slaughter. Oh well.

Oh and what day last week do you think he had zero chance of playing last night? It sure the hell wasn't 2 hours before kickoff. Wonder how many days he played it up. Probably was around the time he was getting slammed to the turf against the Bills.

    LOL...

I was wrong. I thought there was NO WAY he wouldn't play. I underestimated the depths of his disease, though. I actually thought there was a chance he could play. The above is probably correct.

    He got me................again.

Yes. If they didn't and were ever found out and, in this day and age, they would be found out, the value of their stuff would drop to zero. Then, everyone else would come under scrutiny and the very lucrative autograph market would take a hit. No one wants to kill that golden goose. They sign the stuff. How many footballs do you think he can sign in 1 hour? Now multiply that time $500 ;) . I know he doesn't get the whole $500 but even at $100 per, it adds up real quickly. Easy money, especially for the retired players.

So he sits and signs 500 footballs, that $50,000 for him, he gave $600,000 to local charities in the twin cities in the last two years. $50,000 means very little to him. My guess is the same guy running the site is the same guy signing the balls. Either that or it's some sort of stencil that gets copied on each ball. No way the guy sits for 2 hours signing balls to make a few grand.

297 no man in the history of this game has ever done that. he has my utmost respect for that if nothing else. (super bowls, mvps, records, playing thru injuries on and on and on)

i cant judge him for his off-field life, just like he cant judge me on mine. im just glad i have had a chance to meet and shake the guy's hand.

IF THIS IS IT.... THANKS BRETT!

Forgeries don't just affect him, they affect the whole autograph industry. Trust me, he'll sign them, if not for the money, for the veracity of the business. There are definitely forgeries out there but they aren't coming from a player's official representatives/site.

Time heals everything. The sooner he retires and lessens the drama, the sooner people will remember him as just a player. As a player, he has my respect (not that he needs it).

....at the QB position. Just to clarify punter Jeff Feagles started 352 straight regular season games. Not saying 352 punting starts are anywhere as close to as impressive as the QB starts.

For the money he has made you could scrutinize the heck out of me...fame comes with a price and it is known when you sign up.

They showed his arm/hand was still purple last night, they also stated all the experts (doctors) told him from about the time he hit the ground that he would not play for a week or 2 at the least. I think you cannot deny his toughness/greatness as a player...but man is it getting tiresome with the circus that comes with him.
