There's a moment in time when it starts out for me at least as a dull ache in either the left or right back region. As that continues to grow from its insignificant beginnings to a very conscientious demand on ones attention the second front is attacked with gripping pain that stretches from the belly to the groin dives in with both feet. Then comes the nausea in wave after wave and your early suspicions are confirmed - You have another kidney stone preparing to be birthed.

Fortunately I still have pain killers from the last time the stones came to town.

Ha...know that all too well, I feel for ya. I had one kicking me all day while finishing up wheat in the combine, seems to have settled down now, probably kick my butt sometime around 1am, lol.

Even with pain killers, this morning at 3:00 AM was an extremely painful process. At least its gone and I'm done until the next time which seems to be about every 2 years.

Wouldn't drinking a 12 pack flush it out faster?

not necessarily. Dr. told me to drink lots of lemon water. The acidity of the lemon helps erode the stone and yet it still feels like urinating a shard of broken glass.
