Have to throw a big congrats out to my brother Luke, though he does have some deer kills with one of those long metal noisy things, he had never taken a deer with his bow. That all changed last night.

I got a text around 530 from him saying "tiny doe at 30". Followed by, "nvm its a button". Of course my reply was "your still a virgin take the shot". A few minutes later, "i missed". Fast forward an hour, and he lets me know that he came back, and is standing at 10 yards behind some brush. I tell him "relax, pick a spot, theres no need to be nervous this should be routine".

Then the phone call. Deer down baby. I tell him to back out and head home, illl meet him there after dark.

Had a REALLY good blood trail, and found the deer piled up right under a tower stand one of the other local hunters has set up. Pretty cool death bed.

Oh and in the meantime, i whacked my 8th archery deer. It was a beautiful night in the Ohio woods.

Great Night - Congrats to you both!

I agree - shoot that dang BB...too many archers impose deer restrictions on themselves before they ever even get that first harvest - glad you were there to advise otherwise...great memories as well!
